Volcanic pumice is the base material in our products. The eruptions of the island volcano Hekla produce the world’s finest and purest pumice, which can withstand extremely high temperatures.
Nexø Fireplaces are unique as they are constructed of volcanic pumice stone, reinforced with steel bars, and finished with mortar and attractive natural sandstone. They are resistant to both weather and heat. Each piece of sandstone is installed by hand to each modular section for a custom fit, so each fireplace is unique and slightly different than the next. Each fireplace is a modular design and assembled in sections on site. Every Nexø is very easy to assemble, and comes with its own matching bag of mortar mix to seal the outside seams of each module to complete the look.
